In advance of The Kitchen’s 50th anniversary in 2021, artists and Kitchen Board Members Wade Guyton and Jacqueline Humphries have curated an exhibition of over forty works, donated by artists from throughout the organization’s community including Abraham Cruzvillegas, Wade Guyton, Michael Krebber, Wolfgang Tillmans, Rirkrit Tiravanija and Danh Vo. Proceeds from the sale of these works will help make possible essential renovations to The Kitchen’s home at 512 West 19th Street, a former icehouse constructed during the 1920s—allowing the organization to remain in the building where it has resided since 1986.

Ice and Fire: A benefit exhibition in three parts is still on view through a website designed by Wade Guyton, Jacqueline Humphries, Jon Lucas, and Eric Wrenn: 512w19.thekitchen.org.
