Mimosa Echard, artist and professor at Beux-Arts de Paris, is amongst the winning residents of the first edition of the Villa Albertine. Located in ten major cities across the United States, this new cultural institution will host sixty custom exploratory residencies per year, intended for artists of all disciplines, researchers and professionals engaged in the cultural sphere.
Villa Albertine seeks to create a community for arts and ideas, between France and the United States, promoting artistic mobility and nurturing engagement with the great issues of our time. Mimosa Echard’s practice is inspired by the creation of hybrid eco-systems where the living and the non-living, the human and the non-human coexist.
