For his performance at the Cetate Synagogue, Tarek Atoui will build a special instrument that prolongs his work on acoustic and electronic original and experimental instrument making. It will take the shape of a series of oak or tek wooden boxes that connect to each other and to a variety of Atoui’s instruments, water and air systems. The set up will allow Atoui to spread speakers, instruments and sound device in different parts of the space. The audience will be seated around the artist, and invited to silently walk around in the space during the performance.
