For a long time, the documentary of observation suffered of from a status of bad object, too far from a certain artificiality required, toward curators of contemporary art exhibitions. This conversation will focus on its recent revaluation. It will explore this apparent paradox through a discussion about the work of Chinese filmmaker and artist Wang Bing, 15 Hours (2017), which documents a working day in a Chinese textile workshop.
