On the occasion of the launch of David Douard's monograph inner GLOw’ replica, a conversation will take place between the artist, Nina Kennel, contributor to the publication, along with Thomas Bizzarri and Alain Rodriguez, editors and graphic designers of the book, as part of the Fondation Pernod Ricard’s Guest Program.

A tangle of studio views, recent works, and reassembled fanzines, inner GLOw’ replica delves into the roots of David Douard’s practice. The zines he has been compulsively producing for years converse with his artworks and contaminate them. Pages of collages, drawings, photocopies, bits of tape, shredded magazines, slogans captured from social networks, and smartphone photos reveal the density and formative process of the artist’s language. This flow seeps into and transmutes his sculptures and installations, whose teeming, polymorphic materiality unfolds through a comprehensive set of objective photographs.

Three texts accompany this visual corpus: a phantasmagorical fiction by Charlie Fox, an essay by Ingrid Luquet-Gad, and a poetic enumeration by Nina Kennel. inner GLOw’ replica—the first publication of the Zzz publishing house—is the result of a long-standing collaboration between David Douard and designers Thomas Bizzarri and Alain Rodriguez.
