Galerie Chantal Crousel is pleased to welcome Anri Sala and Peter Szendy along with Emmanuelle Pireyre and Anna Katharina Scheidegger, for the launch of their respective books, Béla Bartók and Franz Liszt, both published by the Editions de la Philharmonie.
Béla Bartók recounts a brief journey, in the form of an alphabet book, through the life and thoughts of the Hungarian composer. The text, whose themes oscillate between sky and earth, is interspersed with pencil and eraser drawings by Anri Sala. The book is available at the gallery's bookstore.
Franz Liszt is a tale written by Emmanuelle Pireyre which explores Liszt's passion for the Gypsies. As a counterpoint to the text, the book reproduces silver photograms of the Glacier du Rhône in Switzerland, X-rayed by Anna Katharina Scheidegger.
The conversation moderated by David Christoffel will take place in the gallery's second space at 5 rue de Saintonge. As places are limited, we invite you to sign up via the following address: rsvp@crousel.com.
