Oscar Tuazon participates in the third edition of Noor Riyadh. The festival features large-scale light art installations, projections and performances in Riyadh.
With eight large-scale wooden rings, Oscar Tuazon creates an immersive spatial intervention where the public is invited to walk around and through the work within the natural environment of Wadi Hanifa. Responding to the colonnade of palm trees on the site, Tuazon has positioned wood rings in the space between trees, which frame the artworks and create a series of illuminated portals along the stone pathway. Amidst the urban space of Riyadh, Light Rings takes ecology as its main source of inspiration, incorporating illumination, geometry, and harmony with its surroundings to form a vessel of time, light, and space.
