Thomas Hirschhorn presents Pavillon Simone Weil in the large dome of the Pavillon Sicli, as part of an invitation from the Fondation genevoise pour l’animation socioculturelle (FASe).
The work is part of his artistic approach “Presence and Production,” involving his active presence and daily creation in cooperation with the people engaged in the project. As such, the Pavillon takes the form of an open, accessible, and free space, transforming the institutional setting into a truly public, participatory, and inclusive venue.
This project is based on in-depth preparation, marked by immersion in the field. Thomas Hirschhorn establishes close ties with the local community and invites the residents of Geneva to actively participate in the creative process.
Pavillon Simone Weil is free and open from 10am to 10pm, seven days a week.
