Nuit Blanche, 06.10.2012, Paris
Tarab pour une Nuit Blanche is a performance conceived for a boat and its itinerary along la Seine and transforms the boat into a performance and listening space inspired by Arabic music salons.
Six traditional, contemporary, and electronic musicians will perform a 4 hours score that re-visits the Arab renaissance music of the end of 19th century following the research they did on the Re-Visting Tarab project and on AMAR Foundation's archive of rare and unique recordings.
Performers: Sophie Agnel, Tarek Atoui, Uriel Barthelemi, Kazuyuki Kishino (aka KK Null), Robert Lowe (aka Lichens) & Osama Shalabi
