For her exhibition Volcanic Excursion (A vision) in the Secession’s main gallery, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster has created a pictorial collage. 79 feet long and 16 feet tall, it convenes role models from the past and present, colleagues who share her ideas and friends for a fictional gathering and counters the fissures that have come to mar the social fabric with a tableau exuding strength and confidence, optimism and courage.
